Particular experience of multi-million pound disputes arising out of oil and gas related projects and the construction of power facilities in the UK, Middle East and Asia. Reported cases include Brican Fabrications Limited v Merchant City Developments Limited [2003] BLR 512, concerning direct payments on insolvency, Peterhead Harbours Trustees v Lilley Construction Limited 2003 SLT 731 and RBG Limited v SGL Carbon Fibers Limited [2010] CSOH 77 concerning adjudication. Principal lawyer for pursuer in the Scottish earthworks litigation of APC Limited (in Receivership) v Amey Construction Limited and others (see reported decisions of 23 July 2004, 11 November 2005 and 13 July 2007 on www.scotcourts.gov.uk).
