The power offering at Hogan Lovells International LLP covers energy generation, regulation, storage, infrastructure and supply on behalf of regulated entities, utility suppliers, distributors and lenders across the full spectrum of sectors. The recently promoted partner Alex Harrison , Nicholas Roberts and Ben Higson were recently appointed as sole legal counsel to the Crown Estate with regards to its wind, tidal and gas storage portfolios, and Philip Robb recently advised John Laing on all aspects of its new £137m bank facilities for the financing of acquisitions of new renewable assets. Also notable is Adrian Walker 's work for a global engineering company with regards to the development of a new nuclear asset, and a global partnership arrangement with an oil and gas major negotiated by Richard Tyler for a solar asset manufacturer. On the contentious front, Roberta Downey is representing the main contractor of a major offshore wind farm in a number of disputes and arbitration proceedings against a range of parties including an international subcontractor and the project owner. The team was recently strengthened by the arrival of Arun Velusami from Norton Rose Fulbright and Sarah Shaw from Allen & Overy LLP .
