Leveraging ‘decades of engagement with the real estate sector’, Hogan Lovells International LLP has the ‘knowledge, business acumen and strength in depth’ to deliver ‘sophisticated projects’. The team has particular expertise in the public sector and is instructed by major landowners such as British Land and The Crown Estate. In one stand-out matter, Victoria Sutcliffe assisted British Land with the pre-let of a Regent’s Street premises to Dentsu Aegis Network, which was among the largest West End pre-lets in two decades. Additionally, the ‘personable and pragmaticDion Panambalana is acting for Calthorpe Estates in relation to a £300m urban regeneration project in Birmingham. Also in the development space, Gill McGreevy is advising the King’s Cross Central partnership on the £2bn redevelopment of King’s Cross, and Daniel Norris is acting for AFC Wimbledon in relation to the development of its new stadium in London Borough of Merton. Nicholas Roberts has assisted various clients with HQ relocations to large-scale regeneration sites in Central London and the West End. Investment highlights included Norris assisting The Prudential Assurance Company with the £300m+ sale of a South Bank property to Deutsche Asset Management, and global real estate head Jackie Newstead advising William Pears Group on a portfolio acquisition of five conference centre hotels from Principal Hailey. Oliver Chamberlain leads the luxury and fashion brands real estate subgroup, which advises clients such as Russell & Bromley. Also recommended are corporate real estate specialist Sian Owles, John Condliffe and counsel Christopher Somorjay, who is instructed by a number of institutional investors.
