Asia practice

Hogan Lovells has made a significant commitment to servicing the legal and business needs of its clients in Asia for some 30 years.

It has one of the strongest networks in Asia, with 250 fee-earners, including 37 partners, based in our seven offices in Beijing, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo and Singapore where it operates as a joint law venture with leading Singapore firm, Lee & Lee. It is the only international law firm with permanent representation in Ulaanbaatar , Mongolia.

It regularly acts on complex matters involving clients’ regulatory affairs, multi-jurisdictional transactions and business ventures as well as some of the most high-profile commercial disputes in the region. Demonstrative of this, the Asia practice received over 30 awards for its work in 2010 and was shortlisted for a further 35 awards. High profile awards include receiving seven Deal of the Year Awards from Asian-MENA Counsel magazine, more than any other international firm in China, 4 Deal of the Year Awards from China Business Law Journal, M&A Deal of the Year at Asian Legal Business China Law Awards 2011 and Japan Law Awards 2011, four Asia-Pacific awards including Global Deal of the Year from Project Finance magazine, Asia-Pacific Project Financing Deal of the Year from Euroweek, Project Finance Deal of the Year at IFLR Asia Awards 2011 and 2 awards from PFI Asia-Pacific Awards.

In addition, Hogan Lovells provides legal services to a number of non-profit organisations in Hong Kong and regionally. In recognition of its pro-bono service, it has received Caring Company Awards, issued by the Hong Kong Council of Social Services, for seven consecutive years since 2004.
