Position
Principal areas of practice are restructuring and insolvency, private equity and acquisition finance and real estate finance. Restructuring and Insolvency experience includes, most recently, acting for PwC as the administrators of Lehman Brothers International Europe and the creditors of Woolworths Plc. Restructurings include acting for the creditors and eventual owners of Le Meridien Hotels, acting for the debtor on various international and UK restructurings, including the successful schemes of arrangement for Telewest and Garuda, acting for new investors on recapitalisations of distressed companies in the UK and Europe and acting on structured administrations and other pre-packaged arrangements. Private equity transactions include acting for sponsors and lenders on financings for public to private transactions in the UK and Europe, acting on restructuring of real estate investment business, leveraged recapitalisations, bid financings, apco/propco structured financings, and restructurings of private equity investments. Real estate financing experience includes acting for investors on the acquisition of portfolios of real estate investments in the UK, Europe and worldwide, acting for the purchasers on the UK’s largest real estate outsourcing transactions and acting on structured financings of real estate income streams.
