Within: Power (including electricity and renewables)

At Linklaters LLP clients get 'an excellent service all around', 'very good client access and strong continuity which helps with repeat deals'. The department handles a healthy variety of project financing mandates, corporate transactions and disputes, and is currently assisting the central government with its future nuclear strategy. Among the names to note feature the 'very commercial and approachable' John Pickett and the 'formidably bright' infrastructure and projects practice head Jeremy Gewirtz who collaborated with the corporate team to advise Mitsui and ENGIE on the sale of the portfolio containing the Saltend, Deeside and Indian Queens UK power plants to Energy Capital Partners. Richard Ginks recently oversaw a 40% shareholding acquisition in the Sheringham Shoal offshore wind farm on behalf of Equitix while Charlotte Morgan plays a key role in the firm's nuclear offering. Also notable is the 'excellent, solution-driven and commercial' Richard Coar who jointly spearheads the renewables practice with Pickett and is currently leading counsel to the project company on the financing and development of the Triton Knoll offshore wind farm.
