Position

Andrew is a partner in Linklaters’ projects group and one of the leaders of the firm’s Africa group. He regularly advises on developments, acquisitions and financings of project assets in Africa, other emerging markets and in Europe. He has particular expertise in the infrastructure/PPP and energy (both conventional and renewable) and natural resources sectors and regularly acts for banks, sponsors and Export Credit Agencies. Andrew led the team which advised the South African Government on its renewable energy IPP programme, led the team which advised the sponsors on the expansion financing of the Azito power station, Ivory Coast, led the team which advised the lenders to the Rotterdam World Gateway container terminal development, co-led the international team which advised RBS on its £3.9bn sale of project finance assets to BTMU and is currently advising on infrastructure and power projects in Angola, Ivory Coast, Mozambique, Nigeria and South Africa.
