Position

Alan has worked on headline energy and infrastructure projects around the world for over 20 years, with a particular focus on international projects. He has extensive experience of acting for governments, sponsors and lenders on major projects for transport, airports and aviation, oil, gas and derivative products, and projects involving concessions granted by governments to private developers (in both civil and common law countries). His recent energy deals include acting for the sponsors on the Sakhalin LNG Project in Russia, the sponsors on the ORYX Gas to Liquids project in Qatar, the sponsors on the Escravos Gas to Liquids project in Nigeria, the lenders on the Qatofin polyethylene plant in Qatar and on the Qatargas II LNG project and the Shtokman LNG Project in Russia. His recent infrastructure deals include acting on projects in Greece (including Athens Airport, Rion-Antirion Bridge, Athens Ring Road, Thessaloniki Tunnel. Maliakos-Kleidi Road, Ionia-Odos Road, Central Greece Motorway and Corinth Patra Road), Portugal (Interior Norte and Douro Litoral roads), Germany (airports), Cyprus (defence and airports), Austria (heavy lorry tolling), Turkey (Antalya Airport), India (Bangalore Airport) and Israel (Tel Aviv Metro).
