Position
Nick co-heads Linklaters’ leveraged finance practice. His main areas of practice include advising the arranging bank(s) on financial sponsor-backed leveraged finance transactions and advising the co-ordinating bank and steering committees on debt restructurings. Recent deals include acting for the lenders on the £8bn facilities to acquire Alliance Boots PLC (Acquisitions Monthly awards Buyout of the year 2008), the € 2.4bn facilities to acquire Valentino Fashion Group SpA (IFLR Private Equity deal of the year 2008), the €1.15m facilities to acquire Techem AG (Acquisitions Monthly awards Domestic deal of the year 2008), £1.8bn United Biscuits acquisition, £2.81bn (including the largest ever mezzanine facility) Coral Eurobet, the €650m acquisition of Paroc Holding Sverige AB by Arcapita and the £1.6bn Gala opco/propco recapitalisation.
