Partner with over 28 years’ experience of personal injury litigation, specialising in pursuing clinical negligence claims on behalf of individuals. All areas covered including surgical, GP and dental cases, as well as in related health professions. Extensive experience in high value, catastrophic injury claims, particularly cerebral palsy, birth trauma and delayed diagnosis of cancer.

Trained Balfour+Manson LLP 1987-89; qualified 1989; Steggles Palmer, personal injury firm, London 1990-91; Munro and Claypole , and Ho and Chan, 2 personal injury litigation firms in Hong Kong, 1991 – 1993; Balfour+Manson LLP 1993 to date; partner Balfour+Manson LLP 2014.

Accredited Clinical Negligence Specialist, and Accredited senior litigator of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL); accredited as specialist in medical negligence law by the Law Society of Scotland.

Education

Edinburgh University (1985 LLB Hons); King's College London (1986 postgraduate diploma in Medical Ethics and Law); Glasgow University (1987 DLP).
