Position

Specialises in the provision of comprehensive legal advice in the areas of: pensions and employee benefits – advising trustees, employers and members of schemes, product providers and other professional advisors on documentation, legislation and trust and tax implications of regulated and unregulated occupational arrangements, personal and stakeholder pensions, employee benefit trusts, healthcare trusts, group risk schemes; insurance – advising on general and long-term business including regulatory matters arising out of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the rules of the FSA; portfolio transfers, product development, policy wordings, agency and distribution agreements, captive and alternative structures and mergers and acquisitions within the insurance sector. Acting as independent trustee of pension and benefit schemes; charities – drafting documentation, negotiating with the Charity Commission, advising on the trustee liabilities, commercial activities and tax issues, and restructuring trust-based charities. Considerable experience of advising charities incorporated by Royal Charter.
