Position
Head of investment funds group. Specialises in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and London Stock Exchange related work. Nick has developed an extensive funds practice (acting for funds, investment managers and their advisers) and has been a pioneer in terms of using AIM as a vehicle for fund structures. Recent work includes the liquidation of Advanced Developing Markets Trust PLC and the flotation on the official list of its successor vehicle, Advance Developing Markets Fund Limited, reorganisations for Pacific Alliance Asia Opportunity Fund Limited and Pacific Alliance China Land Limited, the takeover offer by Terra European Investments BV for Spazio Investments NV and the mandatory rule 9 offer by Terra Investments Limited for Rugby Estates Investment Trust PLC. Nick is also well known for advising both ‘for’ and ‘against’ on a number of high-profile situations involving activist investors.
