Kennedys' practice in Scotland provides expert legal advice in the areas of law in which the firm specialises internationally. Based in Edinburgh and Glasgow, it advises clients located in Scotland and beyond on the specifics of Scottish law and the Scottish jurisdiction.

Kennedys' Scottish operation was set up in January 2015 with two partners leading in Scotland. Frank Gill and Rory Jackson joined with their respective teams and established offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Construction and engineering: representing builders, specialist contractors and facility management clients, which includes dealing with issues of division of responsibility.

D&O: representing directors and officers and providing straightforward advice in relation to their personal liability.

Defamation and reputational management: experts at advising clients on defamation proceedings and giving strategic advice on handling sensitive and high profile situations.

Health and safety: trusted advisers from initial investigations through the prosecution process and assisting in applying lessons learned.

Liability: dealing with high-value and high-volume liability claims.

Licensing: preparing and submitting applications in respect of alcohol and catering licenses; representing clients at hearings before licensing boards, committees and in appeals.

Motor: experts in defending motor claims including dealing with credit hire and issues in relation to fraudulent claims.

Product liability: assisting all parties to a supply chain.

Professional discipline: representing individuals in relation to disciplinary proceedings brought by their professional bodies.
