Aleksandra Fedotova is a co-founder of the company and has been heading Real Estate and Land Law practice since its inception in 2006.

Aleksandra has 20 years of experience in the field of construction and real estate, land and agrarian law. The sphere of scientific and practical interests of Aleksandra Fedotova includes issues of the legal regime of land and water areas of sea and river ports, privatization and implementation of renewable energy projects.

Aleksandra specializes in comprehensive support of projects in the field of agribusiness, in particular, in providing advice on land and agricultural law, antitrust and competition law, corporate law and M&A, financial restructuring, as well as judicial and extrajudicial protection of clients' interests in disputes with counterparties, suppliers, distributors and third parties, when appealing against decisions of the authorities in a judicial and administrative procedure.

Ms. Fedotova manages legal support for the real estate and land law projects, and also enhancing the whole industrial focus of the company by attracting property development companies, agriholdings and retailers.

  • Renewable energy in Ukraine: green auctions launched

    In the first half of 2019 alone, renewable energy facilities with a capacity of more than 1.5 GW were connected to the Ukrainian grid, with about 96% of those being solar and wind energy facilities. In the whole of 2018, which has been a record-breaking year so far, numbers were almost half as high. The Ukrainian market also remains very attractive to foreign investors, not least because of the lucrative feed-in tariff rates, which are paid out regularly. Now, after the adoption of the so-called law on green auctions, significant changes can be expected.

    Sayenko Kharenko has acted as legal counsel to DTEK Renewables, which manages DTEK projects in renewable energy, on construction of Primorskaya Wind Electric Plant LLC (Primorskaya WEP) with a capacity of 200 MW. DTEK Renewables is currently one of the largest producers of renewable electric energy in Ukraine and accounts for about 10% of “green” capacities market.
