Marat Agabalyan has nearly 15 years of experience, including in international law firms Herbert Smith Freehills and Dechert. He specialises in dispute resolution and investment projects in Russia and abroad. In addition, he has extensive experience in employment and immigration law and personal data protection matters. 

In particular, Marat represents clients in disputes in the Russian commercial courts and courts of general jurisdiction, and in international arbitration. He has experience in dealing with multi-jurisdictional disputes and co-ordinating the work of local counsel. 

Marat assists clients with structuring and documenting investment projects in Russia and abroad, including construction projects, share and asset sales (including real estate), and the establishment of joint ventures. Marat also conducts negotiations with investors, vendors, potential partners and contractors, and advises on regulatory matters.
