Gheorghe Piperea is the founder of SCA "Piperea & Associates".

Gheorghe’s professional experience is based on a solid theoretical training. He is a Doctor of Law from the University of Bucharest and from the Sorbonne I - Pantheon University in Paris, his PhD thesis "European Community Acquis in Commercial and Capital Markets", with a maximum rating of the two universities.
Gheorghe Piperea is a law professor at the Faculty of Law in Bucharest, a Ph.D. in law and author or co-author of some reference works in the legal and judicial legal doctrine, publishing several courses, commentaries, monographs and articles on areas such as trading companies, capital market, insolvency, transport law, civil code and civil procedure, being present as an analyst and commentator on the pages of current media publications.
Gheorghe Piperea has contributed Pro Bono considerably to the evolution and improvement of the Romanian legal system by elaborating a large number of draft normative acts regarding business: commercial companies, individual and family enterprises, abusive clauses in the contracts of simple private traders, insolvency, bankruptcy, organising the profession of insolvency practitioner and mediation.
With a professional experience of more than 20 years in the legal field, Gheorghe Piperea is a creator of currents and models of legal and jurisprudential practice, the innovations and solutions thought and applied together with his team from Piperea and associates being a motor of business law development in Romania for the last 13 years.
Gheorghe Piperea and his team are the creators of the class action collective action concept in Romania, being the ones who have put this concept into practice, with remarkable results in the field of jurisprudence and type-contracts or the work of law-making. In the follow-up to the collective lawsuits on income from copyright, those related to special pensions of soldiers and pilots, those related to child-care allowance or care for the young child and, in particular, the collective processes of allied consumers against professionals who have abused their economic power, judicial precedents have been created, laws and government laws have changed, the type contracts used by professionals have changed substantially. In areas such as fixed radars, first registration tax (cars), abusive picking up car (by the police), regulations and practices in the field have fundamentally changed in the course of the processes and gained by Piperea and Associations, who made public all these results, pro bono, so that other law practitioners can take over and capitalize on them.
In fact, all these currents and innovations have been sustained for 13 years between 2004 and 2017 by Business Law Conferences organised by Piperea and Associates and the Faculty of Law in Bucharest, following the concept and direct and personal involvement of founder Piperea and associates, Gheorghe Piperea. These conferences have transformed over time into an annual benchmark event in the field of business law, with all the prerequisites for consolidation as such over the coming years.
Besides the practical activities and the many academic projects he is involved in, Gheorghe Piperea has established the Parakletos Association, a consumer protection association that aims to become a national counseling center, a laboratory of collective consumer processes, but also a source of honest regulations and practices recommended to professionals who may be tempted to abuse their economic power. The Parakletos Association also targets civic education projects nationwide among students and students and aims to extend them to state institutions.
As coordinator and together with part of his team he co-authored the "Insolvency Code. Notes. Correlations. Explanations "published in 2017 at C.H. Beck.
