The firm

Armella & Associati was founded in 2008 by Sara Armella, attorney of law, as a spin-off of the international law firm of Professor Victor Uckmar, in which she worked for 15 years. The firm has offices in Milan and Genoa.

The firm is a boutique law firm, mostly advising multinational companies, offering clients detailed assistance, carefully studied and well-analysed.

Armella & Associati is a tax law firm, specialising in international and national taxation, EU customs law, tax and customs law, tax and customs planning for an optimisation of a company’s costs, customs value and transfer pricing, VAT, M&A taxation and reorganisation of multinational groups.

Its area of expertise includes tax and customs litigation, giving its clients the best assistance before all the judicial levels, including the Supreme Court in Rome. Moreover, the firm assists in pre-judicial matters before revenue and customs agencies.

Armella & Associati is one of the founding members of the business network Green Lane, an international association composed of different law firms, with only one for each country with a particular expertise in customs and international trade law. In October, 2016, Green Lane received the prestigious Financial Times European Innovative Lawyer Awards for being a first-of-its-kind, one-stop-shop solution for trade law services.

The firm invests in scientific research, writing hundreds of articles for the most important Italian law magazines. Mrs Armella wrote two books on European customs law, both edited by the Bocconi University in 2015 and 2017. Armella & Associati is also the author of Customs duties in Encyclopedia Treccani
