Fringspartners > Firm Profile
The firm: Fringspartners is a unique law firm oriented exclusively towards labour law for companies. Created at the beginning of 2015 as a spin-off of the Düsseldorf labour law practice group of the major international law firm Orrick, the founding partners Dr Arno Frings, Michael Bogati and Dr Ulrich Wahlers identified the objective of combining the best of two worlds: the high standards of international major law firms and the personal support and flexibility of legal advice which focuses exclusively on labour law.
The demands on the quality of advice have increased sharply over time, particularly in the field of labour law. These intensified demands can be better met if labour law does not constitute one of the many disciplines of a law firm but is instead its exclusive specialisation. Dr Arno Frings, Michael Bogati and Dr Ulrich Wahlers have had one objective in common for many years: together with their team, their aim has been to solve even the most complex labour law issues in a reliable and practical manner. Unconditional commitment and goal orientation have provided the basis for many years of trusting client relationships. The practice focus is on key sectors of banking and insurance, the electrical and metal industry, media and in trade.
In complex cases the firm works according to the principle of dual control to assure maintenance of its quality standards. In this way, it guarantees that a contact person is available at all times and that there are reciprocal controls in place which are mandatory with complex measures. The foundation for the firm’s actions is always the client’s trust. It is the firm’s ambition and commitment to earn this trust everyday. The firm’s excellent reputation has been attained through its specialisation and international background. Confirmation of this has been shown in the positive assessments and recognition from Best Lawyers, Who’s Who Legal Germany, The Legal 500 Deutschland, Juve Handbook, as well as law firms in Germany and numerous mentions in the commercial and specialist press. The firm has also been very active with lecture events which it has been presenting nationally for many years.
As a result of the firm’s many years of co-operative work with international cases and the execution of tasks as managing partner by Dr Frings, it has gained an outstanding network and has contact with clients doing cross-border business. This applies not only to labour law but also for other legal areas normally involved with transactions. The firm can connect these interfaces to corporate, competition, copyright law and, if applicable, also criminal law, by calling upon specialists from its national and international network. The firm has successfully worked together with its partners for decades in some cases.
Areas of practice:Â Employee data protection; anti-discrimination; working hours law; company pension schemes; works constitution law; compliance; use of external personnel; management and executives; in-house training; international labour law; internet and social media; co-determination; outsourcing and transfer of business operations; personnel reduction; post-merger integration; litigation; collective bargaining law; transaction support; compensation models; contracts; non-compete obligation; due diligence and pseudo self-employment.
