Position
Stephen joined Ince & Co as a partner in 2011. He specialises in banking and asset finance, and in particular ship finance. He represents leading market participants in domestic and cross-border structured transactions, both leasing and debt based. Stephen acts for many of the leading international banks active in ship finance and for numerous shipowners on all aspects of financing. Transaction structures have included export credit-backed, government guaranteed debt facilities, tax-based lease structures, off-balance sheet and defeased structures, Islamic finance structures, sale and leaseback facilities and non-tax based leases, including operating leases with and without residual value support. Stephen acts for owners, operators and lenders in relation to sale and purchase transactions in respect of ships and other assets.
