Position
Partner with a wide variety of shipping and energy cases, including the following very high-profile cases: Piper Alpha Public Enquiry; Niobe; Star Sea; Kriti Akti. Key member of the firm’s shipbuilding and energy teams and frequently advises buyers and shipyards when it comes to issues involving shipbuilding contracts and offshore construction including offshore renewables. Worked with BIMCO to develop a standard form newbuilding contract, ‘Newbuildcon’, and is a regular speaker and chairman of seminars on shipbuilding.

Trained Ince & Co, qualified 1986; Ince & Co, London 1986-95, partner 1993; Hong Kong office 1995-2001 during which time he was also secretary of the Hong Kong Maritime Law Association; admitted Hong Kong 1995; London 2001; articles published in ‘Lloyd’s List’, ‘Fairplay’ and other trade journals.
