Career

Antonio began his career in the Mergers and Acquisitions department of Uría Menéndez before moving to Araoz & Rueda, a boutique firm specialising in corporate transactions. Antonio then joined Deloitte’s Transaction Advisory Services team, rising to Senior Manager. He was responsible in Spain for Deloitte’s Global Equity Group, specialising in equity linked remuneration packages. He also headed up the Spanish branch of the Global Chinese Services Group, co-ordinating and managing large Chinese clients. During his time at Deloitte Antonio contributed to the growth of his department and advised numerous national and international clients, both industrial and financial, on a wide range of domestic and multi-jurisdictional corporate transactions, including operations in emerging markets such as China and Brazil. Antonio also worked on teams advising the European Commission and Spanish Government. Antonio is a regular speaker at courses and conferences and has published numerous articles in specialised magazines such as the Banking and Stock-Exchange Law Review and the Spanish Risk Capital Review.
