Pauline Tan is a partner in our real estate practice

Pauline has extensive experience in all types of real estate transactions, from acquisitions, sales, development and leasing as well as advising on liquor licensing, strata titling and stratum subdivisions.

She has advised on a wide variety of real estate transactions, including direct investments (through the sale or disposal of the asset or shares in the company holding the asset) and indirect investments through an investment vehicle, joint venture and fund investment. Pauline acts for domestic and international investors, as well as sovereign wealth funds, in acquiring or disposing of interests in Australian real estate.

Pauline also has significant knowledge and experience of the hotels market and industry. Her work in advising developers, owners, operators and joint venture partners in the Australian market is complemented by her international experience, having spent some time working in Hong Kong on a client secondment, as well as in Phoenix and Brussels in the hotels and resorts practice group of a global law firm, advising on the development and operation of hotels, resorts and mixed-use developments.

Pauline is recognised as a recommended individual in Real Estate by Legal 500 Asia Pacific and is also a member of the Property Council of Australia's Hotel Property Committee, which represents the interests of the hotel industry including hotel and tourism policy development, industry education and encourages networking within the industry and other industry groups.
