Kanat Seidaliev is a Partner and Head of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan team of GRATA International. He focuses on mining, M&A, corporate, regulatory, labor law and dispute resolution.
For more than 13 years, Kanat has advised domestic and multinational corporations. He has a great experience in undertaking and supervising work for mining and industrial companies, financial institutions. Before joining GRATA, Kanat Seidaliev was head of legal of Imperial Tobacco Group’s subsidiary in Kyrgyzstan.

Office head Kanat Seidaliev’s recent work includes acting for Huawei in a bankruptcy procedure against a Kyrgyz telecoms company and conducting a due diligence exercise for a Chinese gold mining company on three Kyrgyz companies that held licences for the exploration and development of gold deposits in the region. Nurlan Kyshtobaev heads the banking and finance practice, with additional expertise in corporate and infrastructure-related matters. Of counsel Elvira Maratova, who has expertise in cross-border lending and procurement matters, recently advised Fresenius Medical Care on a PPP project involving the construction of medical centres which provide dialysis services.

He advised Sidel on the non-payment of quarterly promissory notes by a Tajik purchaser of its equipment and conducted a due diligence exercise for China Development Bank on TK Oil. Elvira Maratova is a key name for cross-border lending and procurement issues; she recently advised Export-Import Bank of China on a loan transaction with Xinjiang Zhongtai Chemical for the construction of an agricultural industrial park, and assisted Bopa with an equity investment in a microfinance organisation in Tajikistan. He recently advised Telia Company on the sale of its 60% holding in Tajikistan’s Tcell to the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development, and assisted the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development with a corporate secured loan to the furniture and household appliances distributor Atlant. Kamoliddin Mukhamedov is experienced in corporate and litigation matters. KPMG and Western Union are also key clients.
