Position

Administrative Law, in general and its application in Extremadura, particularly, legislation on zoning, agriculture, livestock, hunting, environment, protected areas and Government employment. Litigation Law (administrative, civil and commercial). Commercial and Banking Law.

Career

He served as lawyer of the Legal Department of the Extremadura Regional Government between 1986 and 1989. He held the position of Chief of said Department between 1998 and 1989. He practiced as a lawyer between 1989 and 2001 in the legal firms ?Asesores en Derecho? and ?R. Hernández Mancha y Asociados, S.L.? in Cáceres. He joined Garrigues as partner in May 2001. Aside from his practice activities, he has provided legal courses as a teacher in the Public Administration School of the Region of Extremadura and in the Legal Practice School of the Cáceres Bar Association and he has frequently participated as a speaker in different events invited by public companies and credit entities.

  • CHANGES IN THE REGIME GOVERNING RESTRICTIONS ON VOTING RIGHTS AT SPANISH LISTED COMPANIES

    On June 17, 2010, following a rough and eventful passage through Parliament, the Lower House of the Spanish Parliament finally approved a transcendental amendment to the Spanish Corporations Law (to article 105.2) affecting only listed corporations: a prohibition on voting ceilings for a same shareholder (or companies in the same group), regardless of the number of shares they own.
