Position
Olivia specialises in clinical negligence claimant work. She has won compensation for complaints for a range of injuries, including wrongful birth, delays in diagnosis, abdominal surgery, ophthalmologic errors, fatal accidents, nerve damage caused during surgery, negligent psychiatric treatment and several cases involving the mal-union of fractured limbs. Olivia has recently secured two admissions of liability in multimillion-pound cerebral palsy cases and obtained a six-figure sum for the mother of a child born with congenital disabilities, to provide for the additional care costs associated with his disabilities which should have been diagnosed prior to his birth. She won a limitation trial to enable the claimant to proceed with a case over 40 years old. Other recent six-figure settlements include a urethra damaged during gall bladder surgery, a bowel perforation leading to peritonitis and an ileostomy, and three cases of mal-united lower limb fractures.
