Position
Angela was recruited as partner into the professional risks practice group in 2003 and is working out of the firm’s London office. She continues to handle a variety of professional indemnity matters, largely on the instructions of the Bar Mutual Indemnity Fund (for whom she successfully handled the defence of a claim for wasted costs against two members of the Bar, in the House of Lords), Libra Managers Ltd and Aviva. Angela is currently defending a number of claims and regulatory proceedings against barristers, solicitors, insurance brokers, surveyors and other property/construction professionals. Angela also continues to receive instructions on clinical negligence and related disciplinary and criminal matters from the Medical Protection Society/Dental Protection and insurers in the Lloyds and companies’ markets. Angela also receives instructions on related insurance litigation matters, such as product liability and disease, particularly asbestosis claims, from both insurers and their insureds. She also advises on policy drafting and policy disputes, particularly in the professional indemnity and product liability fields.
