Craig Pouncey’s competition group at Herbert Smith LLP focuses on cartel work. Working closely with its office in Tokyo, it has been advising a number of global companies and financial institutions on cartel investigations, leniency applications and anti-competitive conduct. In addition to major Article 102 cases, the team has also been active in state aid with Lode Van Den Hende recently representing the British Aggregates association as appellant in an Article 106 case against the EC. Kyriakos Fountoukakos advised BSkyB on the proposed acquisition of NewsCorp.
