Position

Jan Macek is a senior lawyer at the firm with his main focus and professional expertise in commercial and corporate law, particularly the law of obligations, with an emphasis on the drafting of contractual documentation for mergers and acquisitions. A major part of Mr. Macek’s work is also dedicated to providing professional counsel related to construction and engineering law, particularly complete counsel in the preparation of construction undertakings and its implementation and the subsequent use of the resultant buildings, including the provision of rental and other utilization contracts related to real estate. Jan concurrently concentrates also on the representation of clients in court, arbitration and administrative proceedings and his specializations include the law of intellectual property, particularly copyright law, consultancy law on inventions, rationalization proposals and preparing licensing and other agreements. Jan Macek recently participated as legal counsel in a number of significant transactions related to the purchase and sale of shares, ownerships interests and real estate, including the preparation of the complete contractual documentation for the construction of a shopping and administrative center within a multipurpose building. Jan further provided legal services to a significant client regarding copyright and other intellectual property associated with their main business.
