The receivers for Saab Automobile AB, Saab Automobile Powertrain AB and Saab Automobile Tools AB (Saab insolvency) announce that salaries for Saab employees will be paid out starting today, 21 December 2011. Salaries should, therefore, be in employee’s accounts by Friday 23 December at the latest.

Two lawyers, Hans L. Bergqvist from Delphi in Göteborg and Anne-Marie Pouteaux from Wistrand in Göteborg have been appointed as receivers for Saab Automobile AB, Saab Automobile Powertrain AB and Saab Automobile Tools AB (Saab insolvency).

Wistrand has advised the seller, Swelandia International AB, on the divestment of Bottenviken Vind AB to Kalix Vindkraft AB. The seller is a private investment company and the buyer is owned by, inter alia, Luleå Energi, Bjäre Kraft and Billerud. Bottenviken Vind AB owns a wind power farm located on Seskarön in the municipality of Haparanda, Sweden.

Wistrand has advised Industrial Investors, a leading independent Russian private equity firm, in its acquisition of a 25.5 percent stake in the Transas group, a global company that originated in Russia in the 1990s and produces GPS devices, simulators and other marine and aviation industry technology for world-wide distribution. 

At a seminar in London on 3 November 2011 Wistrand’s Erik Ullberg and legal experts from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, Turkey and the United States will discuss legal issues relating to alcohol advertising in Europe and the United States, but also challenges faced when using modern marketing techniques, such as Social Media, Websites, User Generated Content, Sports Sponsorship, Celebrity endorsements and Experiential marketing.

Wistrand has advised Volvo Cars Corporation in connection with the company's sale of its shares in Getrag All Wheel Drive AB to a company within the GKN plc group.

Wistrand has advised Sigillet Fastighets AB on the acquisition of two real estate properties in Gårda, Göteborg. The properties acquired – which include both residential flats and business premises – have a total rentable surface of about 6 000 square metres.

Wistrand has assisted KS Östersund and KS Östersund 2, Sweden in the transfer of the company Lillänge Södra Volymhandels KB to NP5 Förvaltnings AB and NP3 Fastigheter AB along with the Danish law firm, Ronne Lundgren Law Firm in Copenhagen.

Nokas AS has acquired a majority stake in the security services company Skandia Bevaknings AB from its founder.

Pharmaceutical company Bluefish Pharmaceuticals AB has acquired BMM Pharma AB, a subsidiary of BioPhausia AB.

Wistrand has advised the seller on the transfer of Tanums Offsettryckeri AB to Stampen group.

Wistrand has advised the seller in connection with the transfer of Engej Bilnytt to AD Sverige. Engej Bilnytt is based in Varberg, where the company runs multiple stores within spare parts and accessories to automobiles.

Wistrand continues to grow and to reinforce its cutting-edge tax group. It is now clear that Wistrand’s Göteborg office will merge with Haglund & Partners’ tax practice. The merger will be completed on 31 October 2011.

Wistrand represented the European Investment Bank (EIB) in relation to loans to Volvo Car Corporation in a maximum aggregate amount of 3.55 billion Swedish kronor for research and development activities.
