Yuliya Chernykh spoke at the international conference organized by the ICAC at the UCCI

International conference entitled «International Commercial Arbitration in Ukraine and the World: yesterday, today, tomorrow», dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the ICAC at the UCCI.

On 24-25 May 2012 the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held an international conference entitled «International Commercial Arbitration in Ukraine and the World: yesterday, today, tomorrow», dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the ICAC at the UCCI.

The conference highlighted contemporary issues in development of international arbitration, both in Ukraine and the world, improvement of arbitral procedures by adoption of new laws, safeguarding of independence and impartiality of arbitrators, interaction of the state courts and arbitration institutions.

On 24 May, Yuliya Chernykh – Partner at ARBITRADE – spoke in the section “International Arbitration in Ukraine in the context of global trends.” The topic of her speach was – “Practitioners’ views regarding the reform of national legislation in the field of international arbitration”

  • Ukraine enables itself to furnish procedural orders of foreign judicial and arbitral authorities

    The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at its meeting on August 29 resolved [1] to amend its Resolution "On approval of the Order for the use of funds allocated in the state budget for payments related to implementation of judgments of foreign jurisdictional authorities rendered upon consideration of matters against Ukraine" (the "Government Resolution").[2] Appropriate amendments were prepared by the Ministry of Justice (responsible for protecting the state's interests in foreign courts and arbitral tribunals) in order to improve mechanisms to protect the rights and interests of Ukraine in foreign judicial and arbitral proceedings.
