Members of the firm have handled throughout their long years of experience incorporation and/or corporate advice on a regular basis for major corporate clients, including, for example, General Motors Egypt, Orange, Egyptian Kuwaiti Holding Company (EKH), Commercial International Bank (CIB), EFG Hermes Holding Company, Credit Agricole Egypt, Philip Morris Egypt, Egyptian Glass Company (a Guardian Industries subsidiary), Suez Cement Group, Taqa Arabia, Citadel Capital, Amoun Holding Marakez and SODIC.

Similarly, members of the firm have handled almost all of Egypt’s major mergers and acquisitions during the last three decades, on behalf of buyers and sellers, and, in some cases, as transaction counsel.

The members of the firm have also handled and successfully closed many tender offers, voluntary and mandatory, and have established precedents, particularly in cases of privatisations, acquisition agreements and exceptions to mandatory tender offer rules.

Members of the firm are continuously involved in almost all of Egypt’s equity and debt capital-raising transactions.

Further, the members of the firm are recognised for their leadership position in the area of banking, credit and project finance. During the last three decades, partners of the firm have drafted the standard loan and project finance agreements consistently used by the banks in the market, and have handled almost all the major banking and project finance transactions for billions of Egyptian pounds and billions of US dollars, including the project finance for the first three BOOT power plants for Intergen and EDF, the first commercial aircraft financing for Egyptair, project finance for Egyptian Fertilizers Company, Helwan Fertilizers, Alex Fertilizers, Egyptian Cement Company, Orange, acquisition finance for Orascom Telecom, Citadel Capital, OCI and many others.

Finally, members of the firm have handled mega multi-million dollar disputes before arbitral tribunals, both in ad hoc and institutional proceedings, pertaining to complex investment and commercial matters. The firm has prosecuted proceedings under the auspices of major institutional rules, including the ICSID, ICC, SIAC, LCIA, CRCICA and the PCA.
