February 2018

14 February, 2018

Foyen Advokatfirma has recruited general counsel Ulrika Hedberg from Trelleborg Municipality. Ulrika is a member of the law firm’s Public Sector, Construction and Real Estate business areas, writes Foyen in a press release.

Ulrika hails most recently from Trelleborg Municipality, where she has served as general counsel and administrative director for a period of one and a half years. Before that, she worked as a municipal lawyer in the same municipality for three and a half years. In her capacity as general counsel, Ulrika supported the municipality management, its boards, and municipal companies with legal advice and investigatory work. As administrative director, she has worked on behalf of the municipality director and been a member of the municipal management group. In addition, Ulrika has acted as the municipality’s counsel in proceedings before courts and other public authorities.

“I was attracted to Foyen since the law firm possesses expertise within several legal areas involving the public sector. It is in these areas that my interest lies, and I look forward to working with them in different ways,” says Ulrika Hedberg.

Ulrika’s legal background also includes several years’ experience at the Stockholm Administrative Court and as a tax lawyer at Ernst & Young in Malmö. In addition, she completed her law clerkship at Kristianstad District Court and worked as a drafting lawyer at Malmö District Court. Ulrika took up her position at Foyen on 15 January.

“Ulrika possesses a solid background within the public sector and its legal challenges. She possesses extremely good legal know-how within, among other things, municipal law, public access to documents and secrecy, planning and building legislation, land and development, public procurement and contract issues. Ulrika’s skills will further strengthen us in our endeavours to become Sweden’s largest commercial law firm within project and technology-related law, ”says Foxen CEO LinnĂ©a DjursĂ©n.

Foyen has also recently recruited associate Cornelis Rosengren to the Construction business area and associates Elisabeth SvedĂ©n and Marlene Andersson to the Land and Environment business area, as well as Business Controller Denis Salltun to Foyen’s business support operations.
