The firm
Norrbom Vinding was formed in 1998 by Mariann Norrbom and Jørgen Vinding, together with a team of 11 experienced labour and employment lawyers and dedicated support staff. Although the firm is relatively new, the partners are among the pioneers who developed labour and employment law as a separate discipline for private practice lawyers in Denmark in the 1980s.

Labour and employment law: Norrbom Vinding is regarded as a leading labour and employment firm in Denmark and is one of the largest practices not only in Denmark, but in Scandinavia as well. The firm offers a full service on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious labour and employment law to a client base that is a mixture of national and international companies and organisations. Norrbom Vinding’s unique expertise builds on 30 years’ experience in labour and employment law. Acting exclusively for the management/employer side, the firm’s legal advice is firmly rooted in an understanding of management and commercial realities and is tailored to safeguard each client’s interests in terms of image, internal environment, public and media relations and all other relations of importance to the client.
The main areas of practice include collective bargaining, industrial disputes, business transfers, restructurings, redundancies, outsourcing, health and safety, freedom of association and European works councils, as well as recruitment, retention and termination processes, incentives and benefits, pensions, business immigration, tax and social security, employment contracts, restrictive covenants, severance agreements, discrimination, equal treatment, staff policies, leave, freedom of association and data protection.

IP/life sciences: Norrbom Vinding advises on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious IP. It has significant experience in trade secret law litigation in the context of departing employees. The firm has one of the most experienced teams of life science lawyers, with more than 20 years’ in-house and private practice experience. The IP/life sciences team brings a wide range of skills, as well as national and unparalleled international experience, to bear on matters such as life science transactions, clinical trial agreements, promotional activities, marketing authorisations, SPCs and other regulatory matters, pharmaceutical law compliance, venture financing, general business counselling. The main area of practice is IP law in the life sciences sector, including patents, trade marks, designs, utility patents, copyright and trade secrets, IP transactions and licensing, patent and IP litigation, drug marketing authorisations, SPCs and other regulatory areas and venture funding, as well as related areas such as data protection and privacy, product liability, public procurement and competition law issues.
