He regularly assists both Swedish and international clients in M&A and financing transactions, many with a cross-border element. Erik also acts for underwriters of Warranties & Indemnities transaction insurances on the Swedish market. Erik Fahlgren is Managing Partner at Hammarskiöld & Co, a leading Swedish law firm.


Service with Swedish Courts as Junior Judge; Uppsala District Court 1999-2001; was seconded to Shearman & Sterling, LLP, New York in 2007-2008; Advokatfirman Hammarskiöld & Co ( 2001 – present); was admitted to the Swedish Bar Association in 2004 and made partner in 2011. Hammarskiöld is regularly instructed by financial institutions as legal counsel on investments in start-ups in Sweden's fintech community; the group also counts several public authorities as clients. Practice head Mattias Anjou assisted mortage lender Hypoteket Bolån Sverige with the establishment and structuring of a securitisation vehicle for the purpose of acquiring residential mortgage loans the client originated. Erik Fahlgren is experienced in acquisition finance matters and specialist counsel Josefin Lindstrand handles regulatory work; Lindstrand joined the team from Clearstone in 2018.
