Hammarskiöld & Co in wind farm transaction

Alpiq sign project development agreement with wind farm developer Kraftö Vind

Hammarskiöld & Co represented the Swiss company Alpiq Holding Ltd. in connection with a project development agreement with Swedish Kraftö Vind to jointly plan and build four wind farms with up to 100 wind turbines. Two of the wind farms will be located in southern Sweden, one in central Sweden and one in northern Sweden. Alpiq and Kraftö will now jointly drive forward the licensing process with a view to enabling the first of the wind farms to be commissioned by 2012. Alpiq is the leading Swiss energy trading company and one of the largest energy companies in Europe with more than 10 000 employees in 26 countries and with a consolidated annual turnover for 2008 of around 16 billion Swiss francs.
