Hammarskiöld & Co represents subsidiary of Jubii Europe N.V. in landmark competition case

January 2012

The Stockholm District Court recently issued its judgment in a competition case between the Swedish Competition Authority and TeliaSonera. The case concerned abuse of dominance by TeliaSonera in the Swedish broadband market.

The Stockholm District Court found that TeliaSonera had abused its dominant position and imposed a fine of SEK 144 million on TeliaSonera, which is the highest fine ever imposed in Sweden for abuse of dominance. Hammarskiöld & Co represents a Swedish subsidiary of Jubii Europe in a related case for substantial damages. Jubii Europe (previously Lycos Europe) was previously a competitor of TeliaSonera in the Swedish Internet access market (trading under the names of Spray Network and Tiscali).  Hammarskiöld & Co’s team consists primarily of Claes Langenius, Managing Partner, Joakim Sundbom, Partner, Patricia Helanow, Senior Associate, and Masoud Honarbakhsh, Associate.
