Luigi Arturo Bianchi is a full professor of corporate law at the Università Luigi Bocconi of Milan and has significant experience in corporate transactions. He advises regularly on mergers, acquisitions and transactions involving both private, public and listed companies. He is also a litigation and arbitration expert.


Founding Partner of Gatti Pavesi Bianchi, former president of CAFRA, a multidisciplinary research centre at the Bocconi University, he has been the main speaker at various conferences and seminars of both Italian and foreign universities, institutions and research centres. In addition, he is the author of numerous monographs and articles published in legal journals and collective works.

Italian Bar. He has held, and continues to hold, numerous corporate offices in key Italian listed companies and is a former member of the Legal Advisory Board of the Italian Committee (OIC). He is a Board member and member of the Scientific Committee of foundations and cultural associations. He is a former member of the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Arbitration of Milan and has acted, and continues to act, as consultant to the foremost organisations operating in the corporate and financial sector.


In 1982 he graduated with honours from the Università degli Studi di Milano.

Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Studio Legale Associato advises on cross-border and international M&A, de-mergers, disposals of businesses and interests and restructurings as well as joint ventures and strategic investments. Stefano Valerio led advice to Alpitour on the acquisition, through a Newco, of the tour operator business of EdenViaggi; and Franco Barucci  assisted Prima Holding and Zephyro with the sale of a majority stake in Zephyro to Edison, which acted through its subsidiary Fenice. Additional highlights include Francesco Gatti assisting Manutencoop Società Cooperativa with the acquisition, through its subsidiary CMF, of an approximate 33 per cent stake in Manutencoop Facility Management and Carlo Pavesi acting for Banca Popolare di Sondrio on the acquisition of PrestiNuova. Other highly rated advisers include Luigi Arturo Bianchi, Andrea Giardino and Paola Menicati, along with Gianni Martoglia, Gianpaolo Scandone, Giorgio Groppi and recently promoted Alessandra Ghezzi.
