Career

Iñigo Dago has been a partner in the Madrid office’s Corporate and Commercial Department since 2015.

He is a Government Lawyer (Abogado del Estado) and gained his professional expertise working for the Spanish Government in several positions including, among others, those of Secretary of the Tax Tribunal of Valencia, Deputy Director General of the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) and Secretary and Member of the Spanish Taxpayer’s Ombudsman (Consejo para la Defensa del Contribuyente). Furthermore, he managed the Government Legal Service at the General Secretariat of Communications and was the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the public companies Retevisión and Alimentos y Aceites.

In the private sector, he has advised on matters in a wide range of economic areas, mainly in the electricity and media sectors. He has extensive experience in advising on company and regulatory matters, corporate operations, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate refinancing.

Iñigo Dago also worked at the General Secretariat of UNESA and as Secretary General and Head of the Legal Department of Sogecable.

More recently in his professional career, he was the Secretary of the Board of Directors and Head of the Legal Department of Prisa, before being appointed Secretary General of the company in 2010. Since 2013 he has concentrated on the legal profession.
