AAA Baltic Service Company - law firm became a solely representative for Lithuania in European law Firm (ELF). ELF unifies 27 law firms acting in different countries across whole Europe: France, Germany, United Kingdom, Baltic states, Scandinavia, Switzerland. Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, Belgium and other, one in each country. The general meeting of ELF members voted unanimously in favour of accepting AAA Baltic Service Company as the newest member, completing representation across the Baltic States.

AAA Baltic Service Company wins a court regarding fair price of squeeze-out

Vilnius County Court has satisfied the claim lodged by Marius Jakulis Jason, Chairman of the Board of the company group AAA and a minority shareholder of SEB Bankas and held that the price of compulsory redemption of shares offered by the bank’s shareholders ‘Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken‘ is not fair. The Court has accepted arguments presented by the lawyers of AAA Baltic Service Company, representing the Claimant, and set the redemption price of 105,71 Eur for one ordinary registered share with the nominal value of 20 EUR each. Expert examination, as ordered by the Court, was carried out by ‘Deloitte Lietuva’, Audit and Business Advisory company.

  • Bad Faith Practice in Lithuania

    One can witness an increase in the volume and complexity of trademark cases in Lithuania during the past few years. Bad faith is one of the most interesting and, probably, the most complicated issue that Lithuanian courts as well as Lithuanian State Patent Bureau1 have recently discussed in a number of their rulings. There is no clear definition neither in law, nor in case practice on what acts should be considered as made in bad faith, therefore, these cases always serve as a basis for extensive public discussions and form grounds for further disputes.

From this date on, new special collective investment undertakings may be established in the Republic of Lithuania, including real estate investment trusts (REIT), private equity funds, funds of funds as well as hedge funds, etc.
