From 1989 through 1994 Antonio Segni served as an officer at the legal department of CONSOB. He qualified in 1993 and in 1994 he turned to private practice with Gianni, Origoni & Partners, where he became Partner and head of the Capital Markets Group in 2000. In 2006 he left his position to found Labruna Mazziotti Segni, where he continued his practice through 2013. From 2014 he joined Lombardi Molinari Segni.

Lombardi e Associati's Antonio Segni and Federico Vermicelli recently advised Goldman Sachs, Barclays, Credit Suisse, UniCredit and Banca IMI, as joint global coordinators and joint bookrunners, and Unicredit as sponsor, on the proposed IPO of Italo-Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori (an Italian private railway company) on the MTA market, which was later suspended.

Lombardi e Associati advises on private and public M&A, domestic and international mergers and demergers, and corporate group reorganisations as well as restructuring procedures. Antonio Segni advised Peninsula Capital, a US-based private equity firm, on the acquisition of a 33 per cent stake in Kiko, the Italy-based manufacturer and seller of cosmetics, make-up products and skin care products. Stefano Nanni Costa and Andrea Mazziotti di Celso are also key advisers.
