Integrites International Law Firm became one of the 6 finalists for European Legal Team of the Year.

January 2011

Prestigious British Legal Awards first ever included Ukrainian law firm in the shortlist - and it won the second place.

"We saw our name in the short-list and couldn`t believe it. First we even thought it was a joke. British Legal award for a lawyer is like an Oscar for an actor", - says Integrites partner Andrei Liakhov, who represented the firm at the ceremony

The award (resembling a silver plate) went to Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. "Being second to such a competitor is a great honor. Meeting the selection criteria and being shortlisted is already a great success", - says Liakhov.

Indeed, the chairman of the judging panel Bill Knight (former president of the City of London Law Society) marked out Integrites as runner-up and expressed confidence that this is not the last nomination for the firm.

About the award:

British Legal Awards is one of the most well-known legal awards established by reputable Legal Weekly newspaper. The judging panel first makes a shortlist, then chooses the winners among British and foreign companies. Individuals, teams and firms are nominated in 28 categories.

The awards ceremony took place at the Old Billingsgate Market (London). This year, apart from announcing the winners, the event included charity auction in favor of people who have disfigurements, performance by American singer Sheryl Crow and a party.

We will be glad to give you more details and comments.

Strong oversight of corporate security and risk-taking is surely one of the most critical component of companies’ management process. We are no longer talking about whether or not boards should implement corporate governance and compliance policies: in the current climate we are grappling with the issue of all-round companies’ protection, which raises a much more meaningful set of questions.

  • Certificate vs. Declaration of Conformity: What to Choose?

Most Ukrainian companies have become accustomed to the fact that since 1 January 2018 the state certification system no longer exists in Ukraine. The compulsory certification abolishment, the transition to voluntary certification, and the application of technical regulations are part of the technical regulation system reform. Ukrainian manufacturers and importers therefore wonder: which document should be used to certify the conformity of products – a certificate of conformity or a declaration of conformity?
