Banking and financial law, contract law, corporate law, construction, retail, investment regulation, mortgage legislation, antitrust law. Mikhail has a broad range of experience in providing advice at the structuring, completion, and post-completion stages of the following transactions: -sales and acquisitions of businesses and real estate; -lending, including mortgage lending; -investment projects involving the construction of multi-purpose shopping and entertainment centers, superstores, supermarkets, acquparks and medical centers, including the establishment of special-purposes vehicles, company groups, and joint ventures between Russian and foreign investors; -advising anchor tenants on long-term leases in newly-built shopping centres; -supply of goods and services. Mikhail cooperates with Russian and foreign banks, financial companies and investment funds in relation to fund raising for client projects both in Russia and abroad, as well as business debt restructuring.
After initially working at the Prosecutor General’s office, Mikhail spent the next 11 years working in the banking sector, including five years with the Central Bank of the Russian Federation as head of the Bank’s legal department and a further two years at a large construction company as a legal advisor to the company CEO. From 2006 until 2009, Mikhail was a deputy General Director on legal affairs at the SPAR retail company. Mikhail joined "Yakovlev & Partners"® in 2009.
Mikhail graduated from the law faculty of the Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1990.
