Position

Vladimir Lipavsky is the founder and managing partner of Ost Legal. Mr Lipavsky is in charge of Energy and Natural Resources and Project Development / Construction practices of the firm, where he handles both: transactional and high-value contentious matters. His representative clients include Rosatom, E.On, Gazprom, INTERRAO UES, Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, ONGC Videsh and many others. Mr. Lipavsky is also the primary contact for international clients.

Career

Mr. Lipavsky has been acting as a managing partner of Ost Legal since 2002  when he founded the firm. He has been advising on more than 70 largest projects ranging from $ 50 million up to EUR 12 billion in the spheres of electric power, nuclear, oil & gas, petrochemicals, microelectronics, biotech, cement, metallurgy and other. Mr. Lipavsky is recognized by the Legal 500, Chambers and Partners, IFLR 1000, Best Lawyers as one of the leading lawyers in Russia in project development and, in particular in EPC-contracting.

Vladimir Lipavsky at Ost Legal advised Rusatom’s subsidiaries, NovaWind and VetroOGK on a number of equipment supply and construction agreements concerning a large wind project in the Republic of Adygea.  Vadim Tsvetkov assisted with contractual matters concerning the acquisition of three gold mining companies by Highland Gold Mining.
