Andrey Astapov, Managing partner at AstapovLawyers International Law Group, spoke at the key event of the year - International Arbitration Program "Modern challenges in international commercial arbitration: Best world practice", which was hold from 9th to 15th June in Singapore.

This exciting program was based on 21st ICCA Congress (organized by ICCA) and had provided a platform for meetings with leading judges and renowned practitioners, network with more than 1000 international delegates-arbitrators and corporate counsels from 26 countries such as: Singapore, Australia, United Kingdom, France, USA, Canada, Spain, Iran, Brazil, India, Russia and others. Opening Ceremony started Guest of Honour, Prime Minister of Singapore Mr Lee Hsien Loong.

Together with Alexander Komarov and David Goldberg, Andrey Astapov was one of the key speakers on The Russian Session. He discussed trends in the practice of recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitration awards in Russia and Ukraine with focus on evolution of the reasons to refuse recognition and enforcement.

On the last day of Congress a cultural program was organized for participants. All of them noticed that Singapore is a multinational capital that has also retained its Asian charm. Hospitality, national cuisine, art and architecture have embraced both Eastern and Western features.
