Elikem Nutifafa Kuenyehia is the chairman of ENSafrica | Ghana. He specialises in a number of areas of law, including banking and corporate finance, employment, mergers and acquisitions, oil and gas, corporate commercial, and corporate governance.

He has advised local and international clients in a number of industries, including the petroleum, telecommunications, insurance, and food and beverage industries.

Elikem’s experience includes advising clients on various aspects of business mergers and acquisitions, as well as negotiating and drafting commercial finance agreements in a range of industries.

He is the author of Kuenyehia on Entrepreneurship, the first Ghanaian textbook on entrepreneurship.

In 2012, Elikem was named by Forbes and CNBC as “West Africa Young Business Leader of the Year” and named one of Africa's next generation leaders by the African Leadership Network.

 In 2010, he was named a “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum, as well as one of “Africa’s 40 under 40 Achievers” by The Network Journal. He also received the Millennium Excellence Awards' Young Professional of the Year Award in 2006.

ENSafrica’s ‘reliable’ team acts for foreign and domestic financial institutions on all aspects of banking and financing matters, including trade and commodity finance, acquisition finance and project finance. Paa Kwesi Morrison, who has ‘a strong reputation’, advised Standard Chartered Bank as the lender on various issues regarding a $15m facility to Enterprise Properties, including the review and drafting of a facility agreement and security agreements. Elikem Nutifafa Kuenyehia heads the group and ‘dedicated and knowledgeable’ senior associate Anita Sekyi-Yorke is also noted.

Regarded as ‘one of the best’ in the country, ENSafrica’s ‘strong’ practice has experience handling IPOs, bond issues and private placements, among other types of transactions. The ‘very experiencedPaa Kwesi Morrison advised Standard Chartered Bank, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Citigroup on the Ghanaian aspects of the issuance of a $1bn Eurobond by the government of Ghana. Practice head Elikem Nutifafa Kuenyehia assisted Convergence Partners with due diligence issues regarding the client’s acquisition of 25% of shares in CSquared, a telecoms company wholly owned by Google. Paa Kwesi Morrison led on advice to Bharti Airtel on regulatory issues regarding the amalgamation of the client’s Ghanaian business with Millicom, which involves the incorporation of a new entity. Managing associate Rachel Dagadu has experience representing clients in a variety of sectors, including oil and gas, energy and financial services.

The highly regarded team at ENSafrica has experience acting for sponsors and lenders on cross-border matters. Paa Kwesi Morrison advised Vitol on due diligence issues regarding the $1.6bn financing and development of the Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) oil and gas project. He also acted for Overseas Private Investment Corporation as the lender on the $450m financing of the Amandi power project. Elikem Nutifafa Kuenyehia heads the team.
