Career
Andrew van Niekerk is a director at ENS (Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs) in the projects department and has 7 years experience as a specialist construction and project attorney. As a construction lawyer, he has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating the full remit of construction and construction related contracts and is conversant in all manner of local and international construction forms of contract. As a project lawyer, he has experience in the full remit of PPP transactions, including all relevant concession and project procurement arrangements, as well as all civil works contracts and off-take arrangements. He has a keen understanding of how projects succeed and advises on development strategies for a range of developments in respect of procurement policies and procedures, tender documents and processes and contract management (pre and post tender).
