Career
Lee Mendelsohn is a director at ENS (Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs) and has 14 years experience. She currently practices as an attorney in the competition/antitrust department. She specialises in compliance, compliance training, enforcement and merger control. She has acted for the Competition Commission, as well as various local and international retail companies. Lee’s practice experience includes an enquiry into the South African banking industry, a ‘bread' cartel matter, a 'milling’ cartel matter, as well as a ‘pharmaceutical’ cartel case. She also has experience dealing with unsolicited bids for control, excessive pricing complaints, compliance audits, investigations, defence against hostile bids, attempted mergers, as well as abuse of dominance cases. Lee leads the firm’s competition department. She is the author of numerous articles and has presented at various international conferences. She is the Managing Editor of Butterworth’s Competition Law Reports, a regular contributor to the Business Law and Tax Review, and co-authored the South African Country Chapter in the Private Competition Enforcement Review 2010.
