Dispute Resolution Practice Group.

Senior Partner Alex Hertman co-chairs the firm's Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Alex has conducted some of the largest cases to come before the Israeli courts and is the only lawyer in Israel to be listed as a starred individual in Chambers Global 2012-2015. He has been described by one legal directory as being a "first-class litigator at the peak of his career whose reputation carries a lot of weight, and is also very down-to-earth". Alex represents foreign and domestic companies, major international financial institutions, banks and national and international accounting and investment houses in complex, multi-jurisdictional commercial and finance disputes, including high-profile class actions, international arbitration, landmark appellate cases and petitions to the Israel Supreme Court. Alex's extensive litigation practice encompasses the full range of commercial and corporate disputes, including hostile takeovers, shareholder disputes, cross-border litigation, breach of contract, unfair competition, creditors’ rights, judicial review and enforcement of foreign judgments. He has defended Israel’s leading insurance companies and banks in major civil cases arising out of insurance coverage disputes, product liability, regulatory and enforcement issues and allegations of cartel activity. Alex is frequently appointed as an arbitrator by the courts – or chosen by parties in dispute – to resolve complex commercial international conflicts in all matters pertaining to international commerce.
