Position

Mr. Zohar represents many of Israel's political and business leaders, as well as prominent members of the medical community, in their most challenging and critical matters, both personal and public. Over the past 45 years, Mr. Zohar has been involved in almost every high-profile, high-stakes, legal matter in Israel. He represents a roster of business clients that includes Israeli and international food and pharmaceutical companies and some of Israel's largest insurers. In addition, Mr. Zohar represents governmental agencies and municipalities in court and before legislative commissions. A large portion of Mr. Zohar's legal career has been devoted to complex tort cases, especially medical and professional malpractice. He represents the most prominent medical professionals in Israel in liability cases, and participated in the drafting of the Patient's Rights Act, regulations of in vitro fertilization, and the Medical Doctors’ Act. In addition, Mr. Zohar has advised companies in connection with reorganizations, and oversaw major bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings. In media and communications, Mr. Zohar has been engaged by media corporations, journalists and production companies, both as a negotiator in commercial transactions and to litigate on their behalf. Mr. Zohar is regularly featured on lists of Israel's leading lawyers in various publications. He is often asked to lecture about issues ranging from law and ethics to trial technique. He lectures at several continuing legal education programs of the Israel Bar Association, has coordinated a continuing education program in antitrust law in the Bar-Ilan University Law Faculty, has taught a torts law course in the College of Insurance and has lectured at Tel Aviv University Faculty of Medicine. Mr. Zohar has represented senior public officials and officers before many Commisions of Inquiry, including Commission investigating the Cave of the Patriarchs' massacre; The Commission investigating the murder of Prime Minister Rabin, the Commission investigating the October 2000 events; the Zeiler Commission investigating Israeli police; and the commission investigating the Navy Seals tragedy. Recently, Mr. Zohar assisted Prime Minister Olmert in preparing to testify before the Vinogard Commission investigating the Second Lebanon War.
