Position

Manuela Marina Nestor is Co-Managing Partner and Head of Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practices at NNDKP. She has over 40 years of experience in commercial and banking and financial law practice. Mrs. Nestor has played a leading role in most of the major commercial transactions in Romania of the past twenty years, including the largest corporate bond issues, for leading corporations in Romania, privatization of the most important state enterprises in Romania, high profile mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions (project finance, corporate finance, acquisition finance, trade finance), restructurings and divestitures. She continues to advise in relation to the structuring, drafting and negotiation of cross-border financing transactions as well as in restructuring of financing facilities, and assignment of portfolios of receivables deriving from loan agreements or commercial contracts. Mrs. Nestor is also advising on permanent basis numerous multinationals, commercial and investment banks and funds.

Career

Manuela Marina Nestor founded Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen in 1990. Prior to 1990, she was general counsel at the Bucharest University and a legal expert at the Romanian Consulting Institute Romconsult.

Manuela Marina Nestor is a member of the Bucharest Bar, being affiliated with Lex Mundi (Banking and Finance and Cross-Border Transactions groups), World Services Group (Financial Services practice) and SEE Legal.

Education

Manuela Marina Nestor graduated from the University of Bucharest Law School in 1976 and holds Master Degrees in International Commercial Relationships and in International Commercial Law.
